The Roseland
The Roseland peninsula is the jewel of Cornwall. Recoginised as one of the most important sections of our nation's coastline for centuries, the mouth of the Fal estuary was heavily defended by two castles positioned either side of the entrance to the river (see slideshow above). The countryside around the Roseland offers visitors beautiful open beaches, craggy coves, miles of well managed footpaths, plenty of history and there's even the King Harry car ferry across the Fal to make your trip to Truro more memorable!
